Andrea Mitchell
Andrea Mitchell works as a reporter for NBC News based out of Washington D.C. Mitchell has earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania. Mitchell began her professional career as a journalist for KYW Radio and TV, Philadelphia in the year 1967. She became a reporter for the CBS affiliate WDVM-TV, (then WTOP) and was stationed which was based in Washington DC. She joined NBC News Washington two years after that as an general reporter. She began covering the White House in 1981 and was promoted to chief congressional correspondent in 1988. She became Chief White House reporter in 1992 as well as the chief Foreign Affairs reporter for NBC News. Mitchell was a panelist for the TV show Meet the Press and also host of the show. She served on an audience for the 1988 presidential debates featuring George Bush (then president) as well as Michael Dukakis. Mitchell is married to Alan Greenspan, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. Mitchell was awarded the Goldsmith Career Award in Journalism in 2005, which was awarded by the John F. Mitchell has reported on a variety of notable news stories throughout the years, including fiscal reform, the budget as well as an investigation into the Iran Contra saga.
